Coach Enza Steele makes Educational DVD

LYNCHBURG, VA – Lynchburg College field hockey coach Enza Steele recently made an educational DVD on practice planning and drills with a component focusing on fitness and agility.

The DVD was produced through Championship Productions and Coach Steele was one of only several Division III coaches featured with a DVD, with others coming from major Division I programs and the US National Team, among others.

"Making an educational DVD was challenging. I wanted to share my passion for field hockey and creativity with others," Steele said. "In this DVD I focused on planning and implementing drills, small games, fitness, and agility in a unique format."

Coach Steele has won a total of 514 field hockey games in her career, with 496 of those coming at Lynchburg College. She has led the Hornets to 15 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) titles and 13 NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the national quarterfinals. In addition to the championships, Steele has been ODAC Coach of the Year ten times and All-State Coach of the Year on four different occasions.

The field hockey team kicks off its 2013 season against 2012 national semifinalist, DePauw University, at neutral site Wittenberg University on August 30 at 7 p.m.
