LYNCHBURG, VA – Senior midfielder Shelly Milks had two goals and two assists Friday afternoon to lead the 19th-ranked Lynchburg College field hockey team to a 5-2 victory over visiting Centre College (KY) in non-conference action.

Sophomore attack Kelsey Link put LC ahead five minutes after intermission with freshman Courtney Gillette assisting on the tally. Milks fed senior Ashley Nelson six minutes later to give the Hornets a 3-1 lead and Milks found the back of the cage to increase the lead to three. Sophomore Katie Kline added an insurance goal at the 56:15 mark from Milks, and Centre's Elizabeth Jessee closed out the scoring with a late goal.
