Hornet Field Hockey Receives Five Plaques from the NCAA

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College field hockey team led NCAA Division III in five different statistical categories this fall and recently received the plaques for display representing those achievements.

The Hornets led the nation in scoring average (5.38), points per game (13.62), goals per game (5.38), goals against average (0.57) and scoring margin (4.81).

The Hornets finished the season 19-2 with a perfect 8-0 record in conference. LC captured its sixth straight ODAC title and made the NCAA tournament for the seventh straight season, going as far as the national quarterfinals.
