Hornet Mckenzie Canard Named ODAC Equestrian Rookie of the Year

LC's Mckenzie Canard Named ODAC Equestrian Rookie of the Year

SWEET BRIAR, VA – The Lynchburg College equestrian team competed Friday at the 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Equestrian Championships, and LC's Mckenzie Canard earned the conference's Rookie of the Year award. The Hornets finished sixth in the team standings.

Hollins took the team title with 21 overall points, while W&L recorded 13 points for second and host Sweet Briar totaled 12 points for third. With 11 total points, Randolph claimed fourth, Bridgewater registered fifth with five points 

Sarah Brown from Hollins was named the Rider of the Year after winning the overall competition and Elizabeth Hansbrough from Sweet Briar was tabbed as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
