Q&A With Hornet of the Week Taylor Dalton

The Lynchburg College athletic department each week showcases a question and answer feature with our Hornet of the Week. The twenty-first student-athlete in this series is sophomore Taylor Dalton. The Powhatan, Virginia native garnered the Blue Ribbon for first place in the UVA IHSA horse show on Saturday.

Why did you choose Lynchburg College?

I first visited LC as a junior in high school and fell in love with the campus. I could envision myself as a member of this community. I was impressed by LC's academic record and I loved the small class sizes. As a liberal arts college, LC offers me many opportunities to expand my education.

What do you like most about LC equestrian?

As a member of the LC equestrian team, I have the opportunity to ride some of the best horses and compete against the top riders in the area. Our team is amazing and is led by a great coach. We have great riders who work hard to win in a competitive region.

What is your favorite moment thus far as a Hornet?

My favorite moments so far are winning high point team at our home show last semester and winning high point team at our last show of the season at UVA. I think we made our senior riders proud.

What is your favorite thing about LC and this campus?

My favorite thing about LC is being able to walk through the Dell and recognize most of the people! I love LC's friendly atmosphere.
