LC Riders Compete in the Chatham Hall Tournament of Champions

CHATHAM, VA – The Lynchburg College equestrian team competed in the Chatham Hall Tournament of Champions this past weekend.

Kelly Gerland (Malvern, PA/Great Valley) was the high-point rider for the Hornets with a third-place finish in the open fences and won the Tournament of Champions Third-Place Medal. Haley Bagwell (Shreveport, LA/The Grier School) finished fourth in the intermediate fences and Kelli Greenslade finished fourth in the novice fences.

Jamie Carille (Virginia Beach, VA/Frank W. Cox) had a third place finish in the intermediate flat. Rachel Jones (Toano, VA/Warhill) was sixth in the novice flat. Morgan Kemp received reserve consideration in walk trot.

The Hornet riders will be back in action on Friday, February 4 at 1 p.m. at the RC/LC IHSA in Lynchburg, VA.
