Kenah Fuels Lynchburg's 6-3 Win Over Southern Virginia

LYNCHBURG, VA – Junior Michael Kenah knocked in four RBI on Friday afternoon as the Lynchburg College baseball team defeated Southern Virginia University 6-3 in non-conference play.

Kenah finished 3-4 at the plate with one run scored as well. LC scored in the bottom of the first off a solo homerun from junior Ashton Paige.

After SVU tied the game up in the top of the fourth, Lynchburg put up four runs in the bottom of the fifth frame. Kenah lined a double to centerfield, scoring three runs while Savage added an RBI in the inning.

Leading 5-1, Kenah doubled in another run in the bottom of the sixth. SVU threatened with two runs in the bottom of the eighth, but sophomore Michael Mansfield shut down the Knights, earning his fifth save of the season with a final score of 6-3.

Senior Jared Millner pitched six innings, taking the win. Ed Greenhalgh gave up five runs, picking up the loss for Southern Virginia (9-11).

Lynchburg (16-6/4-2 ODAC) host Virginia Wesleyan College on Saturday at noon for an ODAC doubleheader.
