Matt Morgan Earns Third-Team All-Region Honors
LYNCHBURG, VA – Lynchburg College senior Matt Morgan earned third-team All-South honors Friday, as voted on by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).
The 6'2" senior right-hander earned first-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors in April and ranked in the top of five difference conference statistical categories. He was third in ERA (2.07), tied for sixth in games started (11), tied for seventh in wins (5), eighth in innings pitched (69.2) and 11th in strikeouts (43). Opponents hit just .231 off Morgan this year and he allowed no home runs all season.
The Hornets finished 24-15 this spring and were 14-4 in conference play.
