FOREST, Va. --- The 2011 ODAC fall championships have come to a close and the race for the Dan Wooldridge Overall Sports Champion Cup, sponsored by Farm Bureau Insurance, is underway.   Lynchburg College is atop the current rankings for the overall cup and the women’s cup, while Roanoke College is first for the men’s cup.  Washington and Lee University, winners of the overall cup since 2002-03, is currently second in the overall cup ranks.

Farm Bureau Insurance is the proud sponsor for the Dan Wooldridge Overall Champions Cup and the Men and Women's Commissioner's Cups.  Farm Bureau and the ODAC continue their partnership in focusing on the strength of the conference's student-athletes and maintaining the NCAA Division III philosophy of the complete student-athlete experience.  Aside from supporting the ODAC Commissioners' Cups, Farm Bureau is the sponsor of the ODAC's sport-by-sport scholar-athlete awards.

As determined by the ODAC Board of Directors, points for the Commissioner's Cups are based on regular-season standings in team sports and championship team finishes in individual sports.  Each institution has a total number of possible points it can collect based on its individual sport sponsorship.  The total number of points earned is then divided by the total number of possible points to determine the ranking for each institution.

Lynchburg, which has not won the overall sport trophy since 2001-02, currently has 51.5 points out of a possible 62 points for an overall rating of 0.831. The Hornets were crowned conference champions in men's cross country, field hockey, and women’s soccer this fall.  Within the women’s ranks, LC earned 36.0 out of 41 possible points for a 0.878 rating.  Bridgewater College is second at 0.780 (32.0-of-41) followed by Virginia Wesleyan College at 0.768, just a half-point behind (31.5-of-41).

On the men’s side, Roanoke collected 16.5 points out of a possible 21 points for a rating of 0.786.  Lynchburg is second at 0.738 (15.5-of-21) and Washington and Lee is third at 0.714 (20.0-of-28).

After Lynchburg in the overall standings, Washington and Lee, Randolph-Macon College and Bridgewater all sit tightly packed in the top four.  The Generals own a 0.725 rating (50.0-of-69), with R-MC at 0.720 (36.0-of-50) and BC at 0.717 (49.5-of-69).
