LC Athletic Department Announces Team Academic Award Winners

LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College athletic department recently announced the team grade-point average awards that are released each summer. There are five awards - teams with 15 members and less (male and female), teams with 16 or more (male and female), and the co-ed teams. Certificates are issued to the winners in each group and a plaque listing of the teams will be posted in the trophy case in Turner Gymnasium.

15 team members and less:

Men: Men’s Cross Country

Women: Women’s Basketball

16 and over:

Men: Lacrosse

Women: Field Hockey

Co-Ed Teams: Equestrian

Two teams repeated in their category as winners from last summer: men’s lacrosse and equestrian. Each grade-point average winner is treated to a pizza party.
