Athletic Training at Lynchburg College focuses on the prevention,
evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. In
supporting 21 varsity sports, the LC athletic training staff works
each semester with every sport. The athletic training program at
Lynchburg College has grown and developed into an academic major as
well as a "support system" to all athletic teams. The athletic
training major prepares students to: 1) take the NATABOC
certification examination and 2) enter graduate school.
Athletic training students get a variety of experiences. Students work with LC athletic teams, local high school athletic teams, physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists and nurses.
The Lynchburg College athletic training major is accredited by the Commission on Accrediation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). To find out more about the major, please visit the athletic training education web page.
