Four ODAC Championships to be Decided this Weekend
Two Home Openers at LC Saturday

            LYNCHBURG, VA - This weekend will be packed full for Lynchburg College athletic teams, as four Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) titles will be decided and two Hornet teams will open their 2010 home schedules.

            The Lynchburg women's basketball team travels to Salem, VA, Thursday for the first round of the ODAC Championship tournament. The Hornets won three-straight conference games at the end of the regular season to earn the tournament's #8 seed, and will play top-seeded Roanoke College at 1 p.m. The tournament website and links to live stats and video are at: http://www.odaconline.com/tournament/winter/basketball/index.

            The Hornet men's team defeated Roanoke College in the ODAC tournament's first round Tuesday evening 83-78. The seventh-seeded Hornets are headed to Salem Friday to square off with #2 seed Guilford College at 6 p.m. The tournament website and links to live stats and video are at: http://www.odaconline.com/tournament/winter/basketball/index.

            Lynchburg College is hosting the ODAC Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday at Liberty University's Tolsma Center. The action begins at 4 p.m. The LC men look to win the title for the 13th-straight season, while the Hornet women are positioned to do well in a balanced and very competitive field.             The Lynchburg women's lacrosse team opens its 2010 schedule with a home game on Shellenberger Field Saturday at 1 p.m. against visiting Adrian College.             The Hornet softball team opens its 2010 home season with a non-conference doubleheader against Shenandoah University Saturday at 1 p.m. originally scheduled to be played in Winchester, the games have been moved to Lynchburg due to poor field conditions on the SU campus.
